Samburu was a complete revelation

I specifically asked to avoid the Masai Mara crowds and KSC steered me to Samburu — what a wonderful decision. The reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra and gerenuk are extraordinary animals. The lodge was superbly run and the evening river drives are magical. Hugely recommend venturing off the beaten track with these experts.
